Our board-certified podiatrists, Harvey Lederman, DPM, Marc Lederman, DPM, and Kurt Rode, DPM, have multi-year residency training in the latest foot and ankle medical and surgical techniques. Each doctor provides the highest quality foot and ankle care in a dignified, comfortable office setting and is committed to all their patients. We treat patients for a variety of foot and ankle conditions, including ankle sprains, arthritis, athlete’s foot, bunions, diabetic wounds, foot and ankle injuries, fungal toenails, hammertoes, heel pain, neuromas, and warts. We offer laser nail fungal treatment, orthotics, and shockwave therapy. We welcome children and seniors. We also empower our patients to learn and understand more about their feet through our Patient Education section on our website.   • Harvey D. Lederman, D.P.M

    Board Certified Podiatrist

    Dr. Harvey D. Lederman is a graduate of University of Buffalo and the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. After completing his post-doctoral training he relocated to West Hartford to open West Hartford Podiatry Associates. Over the years, Dr. Lederman has contributed widely to Podiatry at the state level and on the national stage. He is a past president of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association, and a past treasurer and founding member of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management. He is a past treasurer of the American Podiatric Medical Associations’ Political Action Committee and served for years as the organization Vice- Chairman. Dr. Lederman has been awarded and recognized many times for his contributions to Podiatric Medicine. Among these include; Connecticut Podiatrist of the Year, Connecticut Podiatrist of the Decade, and the Distinguished Service Citation, the highest honor bestowed by the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Lederman has been recognized as one of the most influential podiatrists in the nation.

    Dr. Marc Lederman is a graduate of Kingswood-Oxford, received a BA from Drew University in Madison New Jersey, a doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and completed a surgical residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He is board-certified in foot surgery, a fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons and the American Society of Podiatric Sports Physicians. He is the Executive Director of Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association and has several publications. His practice is that of general podiatry, with a special interest in sports medicine, diagnostic ultrasound and the treatment of heel pain and tendon injuries. He practices full time at West Hartford Podiatry Associates in Bishops corner with Dr. Harvey D. Lederman and Dr. Kurt Rode. He lives in Canton with his wife and children.     Dr Rode hails from Richards Bay, South Africa. After he completed 4 years of podiatry training at the University of Johannesburg, he relocated to the United States where he received his doctorate from the New York School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr Rode completed a three-year surgical residency program at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT. During training at St. Francis he was co-Chief and completed an intensive two month internship at the internationally recognized Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics and Center for Limb Deformity Correction in Baltimore, ME. Dr. Rode is on staff at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center were he participates in resident training. He is an avid runner and enjoys hiking, fly fishing and camping. He lives with his lovely wife in New Britain.
